Koocanusa Lake
Walkway & Railing

No. 2 / A walkway and ribbon railing spill 150 feet down a steep slope to the lake. Their seemingly random shape was determined by several natural factors such as tree location and ground undulations. The directive not to disturb the delicate, powdery soil or remove a single tree guided the design and construction of this feature. The ribbon is a means of adding safety and beauty while being a clearly visible indicator of the property from the lake. It begins its journey at the water and guides you to the residences and guest houses above.
